Line Theory: The Bet Doesn't Change the Slot
The bet is the same game. Bet size doesn't create a separate 'stream' and doesn't switch the model — it only changes scale.
Line Theory: The Bet Doesn't Change the Slot
Bet size doesn't create a separate 'stream' and doesn't switch the model. It changes only the scale of the result.
The line
A line is a continuous sequence of spins inside one mathematical model. Each spin is set by the RNG and expressed as a multiplier relative to the bet. That multiplier doesn't depend on whether you play the minimum or the maximum: only the payout's face value changes, not the probability or the structure of the distribution.
Distance is measured in spins, not money
If the line has a bonus appearing every, say, 300, 700 or 1000+ spins, raising the bet doesn't shorten that distance or bring the event closer. You pass the same spins, only with a different amount of risk on each. The peak of a cycle forms at a multiplier level, often near x100 — x100 on 1 and x100 on 10 is the same result in the model, just at a different scale.
History doesn't affect the future
In-session RTP is total return over total bets. Changing the bet raises or lowers turnover but doesn't 'shift' the model. There's no accumulation, no 'mode switch', no hidden mechanism that 'turns on' at a certain amount — just a sequence of spins where events are distributed independently of prior bets. See does bet size affect the slot.
The player's mistake
The player treats the bet as a tool to steer the line, splitting one sequence into several 'realities': 'on small it won't pay, on big it will'. If a bonus lands after raising the bet, it's read as confirmation; if not, as a 'bad moment'. That's selective perception — the event would have happened at the same position on any bet. Raising after empty streaks becomes an attempt to 'force' the system; lowering, an attempt to 'wait it out'. Neither changes the line — only the speed of losses and the emotional reaction. The bet doesn't change the line; it changes only the scale of the result.
